Every season brings a new wave of hair trends, but this fall, we think the conversation is shifting.
Rather than chasing dramatic transformations or the lightest blonde possible, we believe Fall 2026 will be all about healthy, glossy, expensive-looking hair. Color will become richer, softer, and more dimensional, with an emphasis on enhancing your natural beauty rather than completely changing it.
Here are the trends we predict will define the season.
Brunette with Copper Dimension

Our biggest prediction for Fall 2026 is a return to rich brunettes with soft copper influence.
Not bright copper. Not all-over auburn.
Instead, think deep brunette hair accented with subtle cinnamon, amber, or copper lowlights that catch the light beautifully. These warm tones create movement and dimension while keeping the overall look sophisticated and incredibly wearable.
The Return of Lowlights
For years, everyone wanted to get lighter.
This fall, we think lowlights are making a comeback.
Adding depth throughout the hair creates richer color, enhances dimension, and actually makes existing highlights stand out even more. We expect to see chocolate, chestnut, and warm caramel tones woven throughout both blondes and brunettes for a softer, more luxurious finish.
Softer, More Lived-In Blondes
Bright blondes aren't going anywhere, but they are becoming more effortless.
Honey beige, creamy champagne, and softly rooted blondes will continue replacing icy, high-maintenance looks. The goal is color that grows out beautifully while maintaining brightness and softness.
Shine Will Be the Biggest Trend
If we had to predict one trend that will define Fall 2026, it wouldn't be a specific color.
It would be shine.
Healthy, reflective hair is quickly becoming the new luxury.
Clients are becoming more focused on how their hair looks and feels than simply how light or dark it is. Glossy brunettes, luminous blondes, and silky, healthy hair are replacing overly processed, matte finishes.
That's why treatments like glosses and QOAT have become some of our favorite ways to elevate a color service. Beautiful color deserves a beautiful finish.
Color Will Feel More Personalized
Perhaps our favorite prediction is that hair trends will continue becoming less about copying a photo and more about creating something customized.
Instead of asking for the exact same color everyone else has, clients are looking for tones that complement their skin tone, lifestyle, and maintenance preferences.
And honestly, we couldn't love that more.
At Haute Hair, we've always believed the best hair color isn't the trendiest—it's the one that's designed specifically for you.
Whether you're thinking about adding a few copper lowlights, deepening your brunette, warming up your blonde, or simply giving your current color a glossy refresh, Fall 2026 is shaping up to be a season of rich dimension, healthy hair, and effortless luxury.
